It's That Time Again...

This is my favorite time of year! Unfortunately, living in Phoenix, I don't get to enjoy the other fall festivities that most people get to enjoy. I don't see the leaves turn wonderful shades of red and yellow. I don't get to feel brisk fall breezes that just instinctively tells you a new season is on the horizon. No, I don't get those things, but I don't get the Arizona State Fair!

The Arizona State Fair represents so many things for me. The Fair here is huge! Well, it might not be huge for some people, but its huge for our family. Ever since we moved here from Utah, we have been going to the Fair. It is our families' tradition; we all go together (we were missing some this year) and we pretty much do the same things. Since the Fair usually lasts through the month of October, it symbolizes the beginning of cooler weather. When the Fair starts, it is still pretty hot, but when the Fair is coming to an end, is almost jacket weather! That's a big deal for Arizonans!

This year, it symbolized a little bit more. Last year, T came down from Idaho to go to the Fair with my family and I. That same weekend, T proposed. So now, when I think of going to the Fair, I also think of the impeding proposal coming my way.

I know a lot of people really get into Halloween or Thanksgiving. Maybe I will when we have children of our own, but for now, I just really get into the Fair... I know no one really looks 'happy' in these pictures, but just trust me, we were ok?
