Gas and a Haircut!

Since student teaching is so terribly time-consuming, it has been difficult to find the time to write something. So now, I am doing something about it! My weekends have basically become my treasure, they are ever so coveted by me. I know I sound dramatic, but doing what I do everyday without a paycheck can really bum me out sometimes! Anyway, T and I decided to get out of those house. We really don't want to pay for the blasted air conditioning, so I decided to just get my hair cut. It seemed like a cheaper fix.

I actually enjoy getting my hair cut. I find it exciting because my hair grows so fast; it'll be shoulder-length by Spring! That, and I get to try out a new 'do. On our way to the mall, T informs me we are out of gas. The light is blinking, but in our car, I don't take it as a big sign. Our gas gauge is kinda screwed up, when it's full, the gauge will only go to 3/4 a tank. We begin looking and looking, trying to find the cheapest gas (I told you, we're cheap!). We continue looking, but feel like the better deal is around the corner. Suddenly, the car starts to slow down, and eventually just stop. We are officially out of gas. Upon further reflection, we came to the conclusion we are greedy people.

We also found the next gas station to be a little over a mile away, on the other side of the street. T says, 'the best thing to happen right now is for someone to stop and help us.' I'm not kidding you, the second he stopped talking, someone pulled over to help us. The kind man pushed us all the way to the gas station, thank you stranger!

We finally got to the mall, and I got my hair cut, which T likes thank goodness! I didn't know how he would react to it being so short. I'm not sure if this is true, but he once told me when women get married, they tend to cut off all their hair. He said he had seen that among all of his sisters and brother's wives. I guess I've joined the married-women-hair-cutting-club...Welcome to me!

I love the haircut! :) It's so cute. I just got my hair all cut off too - maybe there is some truth to that married people cutting their hair off.

Jackie - I LOVE the hair. I almost don't recognize you! The red is GORGEOUS with your skin. You look all growed up now! I cut mine when I was prego with Reese, but since I have let it grow back. But - I guess it was pretty short in Russia too. I just can't decide how I want it!! If its long I want it short, short - long. You get the picture! You are lucky yours grows so fast. Anyway - sorry for the ramble. Hope this weekend is great!
