Another Step Towards Adulthood

We actually bought our first car together.
I've never bought a car before.
Since my dad and brother owned a car restoration company growing up; cars were abundant.
Does that mean I had the luxury of a car available to me all the time?
Yes.
Did that mean I had to work for that priviledge (aka: emissions tests, MVD visits, towing cars from one place to another, cleaning some stranger's blood out of the seats)?
Yes!
Did they get you from point A to point B?
Usually.
Anyway, we both felt we needed a bigger car to not only fit our growing family, but also to fit our stuff for roadtrips.
I can't imagine what that will be like...4 people, 2 of them children.
Just think of all the stuff!
Buying this car made me feel ... accomplished, grown-up, self-sufficient.
It made me feel like an adult.
It was a really good feeling, and I'm glad we did.
No to mention...it's got a DVD player in it!
John Wayne was freaking out the first time he rode in it, maybe now he won't be such a pill on car rides anymore.
Especially if Lion Ten (The Lion King) is playing.
