Kids Can Be Surprising

It really bothers me when the kids go to the nurse unnecessarily. Two of the main causes of kids going to the nurse are: they need a cough drop, and they need anti-itch cream for their bug bites. To solve this problem, I keep anti-itch cream and cough drops on hand in my classroom. One day, one of my students came up to me, complaining about a pesky bug bite. I got out my anti-itch cream, which I have used on countless occasions so far, and covered her bug bite generously. As I was putting the lid back on the bottle this girl said to me, "Mrs. Isom, you're going to be a good mom." It made my day. Thank you, Yarani, for being so sweet!
