Halloween is a lot like anything else adults have to orchestrate for kids (holidays, family vacations, field trips).
For the most part, they bring back awesome, exciting memories!
Little did us kids know, it is COMPLETELY exhausting for the adults.
That didn't stop me from being super excited for JW this year.
He chose his own costume, and appeared to be pretty jazzed about the whole deal.
We quizzed him all week as to what he needs to say and do to go trick or treating (he's the kind of kid that needs to be prepped for these sort of things).
He seemed to get the main idea.
Unfortunately, this is how our trunk or treat STARTED.
Trying to get him to come take a picture with me, and him refusing because at that moment in time, he wanted to sit next to his Dad.
He gets stressed when things are outside his routine.
Once we got to the church, however, it was a totally different story!
He willingly kept his costume on, actually held my hand (rare, indeed), walked up to the candy-giver-outers with pride and looked positively precious!
Speaking of precious, I seriously could NOT stop taking pictures of my other little one.
Would it be weird for him to wear this ALL the time, because he was killing me with his cuteness!
We didn't do a whole lot on actual Halloween.
We actually just went around to a couple of T's relatives around town and headed home.
We only got a few pictures on that night, and unfortunately, they weren't very good.
Thanks, Mom for the costume!
I can see why adults do this kind of stuff for their kids...
Sure, it is VERY tiring, but so worth it to see their cute little faces light up!
And yes, JW wore his costume (backward) to daycare the next day, and asked us to go trick or treating again too!
He must have enjoyed it, minus the rough start...

Oh, Jackie...they look soooo cute! And, yes, parents DO a lot to create these fun times...and yes they are very challenging...and oh, so very rewarding! In memory, you DO forget the small stuff, and laugh at the backwards train costume and all! Thanks for sharing your wonderful night!
