Whoa! Baby J is two months?! Nuts, nuts, nuts! I'm probably going to say this every month, but time is sailing!
Some new characteristics:
- He's developed this new cry, more like a squeal. He did it once, and it shocked me so much, I think he uses it expecting I'll come running every time.
- He's gotten better control of his body. He's no longer flailing around spastic-like. It seems like he's wants to touch things in reach, just can't quite figure out how to.
- He hates being wet/cold, sometimes he'll fuss until I change his outfit, and then he's perfectly happy. The other day, we took him to the heated pool in our apartment complex...he did NOT like it! I wish I would have taken a picture...I guess he needs the water to be a little warmer. We'll try again come summer.
- He's smiled a few times this month, but they're few and far between. He still does most of his smiling/laughing in his sleep.
- He's a pretty independent baby. For 1-2 hours everyday at least, he enjoys being laid somewhere and left alone, as long as someone is close. It appears he's laying there and trying to make sense of everything around him.
- He's still not sleeping through the night, but it has gone from getting up twice to once. Yet another slow moving process. T is a whole lot better at training. He is perfectly OK leaving Baby J in his crib and letting him cry. I hear him crying; I come running. If that baby ever sleeps through the night, it will be T to thank. Oh boy, am I ready for that day to come...
- People always tell us what an easy-going baby we have. I will agree, but only to an extent. I think he's a lot more well-behaved around people who are not his parents (he's starting early) and he's only easy-going when all of his needs are met (he's not hungry, sleepy, messy, wet, cold, hot, etc...). If not, he can be inconsolable. 'Good' is a relative term, anyway. With the next one, I hope to have a better understanding...For now, I'm going to stick with the, "I have absolutely no idea what I'm doing" argument.

I'm extremely happy I didn't have to go to this appointment. He had to get some shots, and I know I would not have handled it well, poor little guy...

Sounds kind of like Parker, except Parker is still the hugest baby for his age. He was pretty easy going around my mom when she came down and he saves his troublesome attitudes for us! We'll see how it goes when we go visit family next month!
That little animal is starting to get smaller!! Maybe he gets the smiling thing from T?
He is still as cute as ever!
Jackie, I am so sorry we didn't come to the blessing He is so cute! I wish i could have seen him in person you and T too. KK
