Bellies and Best Friends

As a kid, when church was getting a little long, I would ask my mom, "How many minutes?"
This last week, I felt the urge to ask myself, "How many minutes?"
I forgot how exciting field trips can be for kids.
I also forgot how incredibly energy-sucking they can be for the teachers.
We had a field trip every. single. day. last week.
I seriously believed time stood still.
The fact I survived the week is my own personal miracle.
Almost like she knew we needed it, my sister-in-law, Jenny came down from North Dakota to visit this weekend.
She is so fun, and her son and John Wayne are seriously best friends.
Not to mention, she's pregnant too, and due just a week before me (also a boy!).
I consider it a rare treat to see her since the last time we saw each other was Christmas.
Isn't interesting how different people with different body types carry babies?
I wished she lived closer, and hopefully our new little boys will be just as good friends as John Wayne and Linkon.
As an added treat, we took a little drive into the Uintas on Sunday, where I freaked out a little inside at how close my son got to the cliffs.  The views were pretty, though.
All in all, this weekend was...well deserved.
