Swim Class

Baby J and I have been taking a 'Mom and Tot swim class.  The class was difficult for both of us.

Baby J Difficulties
The class was during his naptime.
He had sit in his car seat 40 minutes both ways before he could get out.
He had to wake up early.
The water was cold.
He couldn't do a lot of things the other kids could do because he was too young.
He was very tired and cold afterward.

My Difficulties
The class was during his naptime, so I had to deal with a tired, cranky baby during class.
I had to listen to a screaming baby while driving the 40+ minutes there and back.
I had to wake up early.
The water was cold.
I had trouble getting Baby J to do the things the other students could do because he was so young.
I had to not only had to change him into warm clothes, but I had to change myself into warm clothes as well (not an easy task in a women's locking room, I've realized).
I was cold and very tired afterward.

Though we struggled with the class, and in retrospect, I probably would have waited until he was a tad older, we both still had tons of fun.
Baby J loved the water, and I loved seeing him try to blow bubbles after he'd seen me do it about 400 times (note:  him blowing bubbles = putting his face in the water and trying to lick the water).

The best part?
Just playing with my baby.
