I am coming to find out Phoenix is much different from Big Piney! There are many changes that need getting used to, both good and bad. Here's the list of things I'm adjusting to at the moment.
Not only not locking our car doors, but leaving the keys in the ignition. (The other day, I spent a good 20 minutes looking for the keys until I realized they were in the car)
Being alone for long periods of time. (T works almost 16 hours a day)
The weather. (It was 98 degrees the afternoon we left Phoenix, it has been around 60 degrees every afternoon since we've been here; we've also had to sleep with the heater on every night...for Baby J's sake, of course)
Having to drive 1 1/2 hours to get to any place where a gallon of milk is less than four dollars.
The LONG drives to get to anywhere.
Spending all my time with my baby boy.
Being away from my family
Being close to T's family.
Watching out for the police. They are EVERYWHERE here, just lurking around, looking to catch you doing something.
Small town living.
I'm not gonna lie. It's been a challenge so far. I think reasons why it's been so difficult is because I'm unaware of my surroundings, not to mention the stress of taking care of a 5 month old AND unpacking/organizing/making a home. All I can say is, I'm so grateful for T's brother and his family being so close. It has truly made this transition go much more smoothly. I could not have asked for a better sister-in-law! Thanks Jenny!
All I know is, I really enjoy being home with this kiddo.

It can be lonely getting used to a new place that's so different from what you're used to. If you need anything, you can always call me. We go to Alpine a few times in the summer, if you'd like, we could come see you in Big Piney. :)
The whole small town living is hard to get used to. I'm glad that you have a great sis-in-law to help it go a little smoother.
Enjoy the fresh air! :)
Number one reason Big Piney rocks: You live closer to me too!
