Spring Break Adventure Day 2

This was the actual first day of our voyage. We stayed in this really nice hotel right near the pier. We could see the boats from our window. Our family tends to get up really early, so we had to wait for awhile to board. This is us waiting at the hotel.
So were so excited and jumpy, we decided to walk to where our ship was docked and take a good look at our home for the next week before we boarded. This ship is called The Princess Saphire. We were so ready to get on the ship! These are T and Sam's excited faces...The first day, we just walked around the ship looking at all the cool stuff they had on board. They place your name in front of your door. I know, I have yet to change my name...I'm lazy. This was our room. This is basically the whole deal. It was teeny tiny, but we didn't really need it to be any bigger.
One of seven pools on board. The sensation of being in a pool, on a boat, in the ocean is quite the experience!During the boat drills, they make you put on your life vest to know how to put it on, I guess. T fell asleep during the whole thing. Good thing we didn't sink!We finally were on the open water. This is before the novelty wore off.

There were several restaurants on board. The food was amazing, and we spent a lot of time eating. Our cruise director said, 'Two things make up a cruise: the entertainment and the food.' I believe he was right. Never have I had such fancy meals, either. We got to order individual appetizers, soup or salad, main entrees, and desserts. We were stuffed at every meal!
